Yasmina Siadatan won the 5th series of BBC1’s The Apprentice in 2009. Before her appearance on The Apprentice, Yasmina Siadatan gained a BSc in Economic History with Population Studies from the LSE, then becoming a restaurant proprietor of Mya Lacarte in Caversham, Reading. Mya Lacarte is enjoying its 7th year of trading and continues to win awards for culinary excellence.

 

After winning The Apprentice, Yasmina worked with Lord Sugar in his digital signage company Amscreen, which places digital display screens in healthcare, petrol station and retail environments. While working for Lord Sugar Yasmina helped grow the business from virtual start up through to trading in Europe. At present, Yasmina is  employed by ex-Dragon’s Den star James Caan as Creative Director of Start Up Loans. A government funded initiative tasked with kick starting brand new businesses with £151m of government funding. The Start Up Loans Company provides repayable low interest loans for start up businesses and is paving the way for a new generation of enterprise in this country. Starting 40 businesses every day they are well on the way to providing a strong SME sector of tomorrow.
